The International Habaneras and Polyphony Contest of Torrevieja has its prolegomena during the month of April, with the celebration of the Habaneras International Junior Contest. A contest born in 1994, on the occasion of the fortieth anniversary of the great International Habaneras and Polyphony Contest that takes place every summer.
Created thinking about the future, in the new generations of coralists, it has since been an appointment for children’s and youth choirs from different parts of the world that have gathered in Torrevieja in spring.
Today, this event is an event of capital importance for the future development of that coral spirit that brings together the groups and that makes them imperishable, while stimulating the spirit of the competition and the overcoming of the goals themselves.
