Plucked Instruments School
WHAT IS MUNICIPAL SCHOOL OF PLUCKED INSTRUMENTS OF TORREVIEJA?
It was created in 2007. It depends of Municipal Organization of Habaneras and is defined as a pedagogic-musical project orientated to people of any age in Torrevieja, specially to the children and young people. It tries to transmit the important tradition has always existed in our town with plucked instruments (guitar, lute and bandurria). These instruments have been linked very much to the interpretation of habaneras.
So, the pupils receive and education in which after the years of learning, will be provided with a preparation in the knowledge and the interpretation with these instruments, as suitable as possible. It includes technology of every instruments, managing, care, notions of language musical reading of scores, rhythmic education, etc…), moreover elements of musical culture related to historical development of this instruments.
At the same time it will allow to know our children people instruments have always been used in Torrevieja to accompany to the choirs, serenades, duets, etc…
The pupils will receive a solid formation and study of the compendium for this instruments by the interpretation of songs adapted to their age and level.
There are two different groups in every level (adults and children).
Municipal School of plucked instruments is divided in three levels (Initiation, Intermediate and Advanced).
The pupils will be located in order to their level. They will pass in rotary way necessarily, throughout all the period of learning.
When pupils have finished to learn, will be able to integrate and to nourish torrevejenses instrumental groups and to continue at School.
One of the principal objectives of School is to created, in a future, an Orchestra of plucked instruments to represent Torrevieja in concert, meetings, contest and manifestations of this type.
At the same time this lessons will facilitate the pupils to get into the Conservatoire if the want to continue their musical studies.
Municipal School depends of Municipal Organization of Habaneras in its administrative and musical management. Musical aspects are directed by Technical Musical Commission and administrative aspects by Administrative Departments.
